Penne For Your Thoughts

For me penne is the worst pasta shape there is, do you agree?

Penne For Your Thoughts

Earlier this week when I posted a photo of Jools’ Pregnant Pasta to my instagram, I discussed my hatred of the pasta shape penne. I’m not sure if I’ve been served a lot of undercooked penne in my life, or I find it just too thick. I can’t twirl it around a fork or slurp it like spaghetti but I will admit, it does photography extremely well.

I had a few people agree with me, my favourite comment regarding the pasta shape was “It’s stupid!”. I also loved hearing what other people said their pasta shape was, and some thoughts on different kinds of gnocchi.

I ran a poll to see how many people liked penne, and I’m sad to admit only 30% agreed with my dislike of the tubular pasta. There’s a pasta shape out there for all of us, if you only had to choose one, which one would it be?

My mum is the same, she absolutely hates penne! I think maybe it’s due to the thickness.
I personally like it but my fav is casarecce or papparedelle

I do enjoy a casarecce too! Can’t not love slurping papperdelle too 🙂
