Dairy Farmers Thick & Creamy

Only pictures can show you how gorgeous the brunch for Dairy Farmers Thick & Creamy yoghurt launch at Collingwood Children’s Farm was. It was like a wedding: gorgeous long tables, fragrant colourful flowers, stunning looking food. We were spoilt for choice!
We couldn’t have asked for a better day for it either, and with guest star Alana Lowes, it was a superb way to spend a Saturday morning. If you haven’t been to the Collingwood Children’s Farm, you don’t know what you are missing! Given its location so close to the city, I felt like I was miles away on a rural property. With the great range of animals, if you do have little ones they will have a great time. With free bags of feed, everyone can enjoy feeding the animals.
As we arrived we had juices and coffees before seeing resident cow, Biddy being milked. Then it was down the track to our gorgeous brunch. As we settled in we could head over to the smoothie bar. With two options on offer: caramelised fig yoghurt with banana, honey & cinnamon, or berry:
Dairy Farmers Thick & Creamy Strawberry Yoghurt Smoothie
With spiced berry compote.
We could make our own custom yoghurt serve, with the granola being an absolute winner. All the food, styling, flowers and event planning was done by Bright Young Things (BYT) – http://www.brightyoungthings.net.au/. The Original Sweetened Thick & Creamy yoghurt tasted great on its own. It left you open to be as creative as you wanted with it with its full cream taste. If you are going to eat yoghurt, do it properly! None of that low fat runny stuff.
DIY Yoghurt Lover’s Dream
Dairy Farmers Thick and Creamy Yoghurt with strawberry, raspberries, blueberries, honey and passionfruit.
With exciting new gourmet flavours:
Mango and Passionfruit
Yellow Box Honey
Raspberry & Coconut
I haven’t tried them all yet, but I do highly rate the lemon cream and blueberry ones so far. They have true fruit flavours with good fruity pieces.
Farmhouse Bacon & Egg Roll
Brioche roll with crispy bacon, spiced tomato relish, dreamy scrambled eggs, baby spinach and aioli.
The food at the event was flawless. We had some totally amazing croissants, egg tarts, these rolls, muffins and layered cheesecakes in jars.
After I came home from the event, I felt so inspired I had to make my own smoothie, which was inspired by Pinterest. This recipe takes basically no time to make. It’s colourful, healthy and is perfect to get your day started 🙂
Berry Oatmeal Smoothie
1 cup frozen berries
1 cup water
One 150g tub of Dairy Farmers Thick & Creamy flavour of your choice
a handful of rolled oats
Blueberries, banana, flaked coconut, chia seeds and quinoa to garnish
Blend berries, water, yoghurt and milk until smooth.
Pour into a glass or bowl, add rolled oats, blueberries, banana and coconut on top. Sprinkle with chia and quinoa.

Oh I think they should do this way up here too. 🙂 What an amazing spread.
I drove past the entrance to the Children’s Farm the other day and wondered what it was like inside … I thought it might have been a bit sad by now but it looks gorgeous!

Loveee these photos! Really brings back memories. 😀 Love your recipe too, mine’s so boring compared! I was thinking maybe I should do a smoothie too because I bought so many of those colourful paper straws from China I haven’t yet had a chance to use. Love them…
