Chocolate Royal Puddings
If you need something SUPER easy to make to impress, even get the kids to help you with; may I suggest these little cuties.
I first made these back in 2006, and they were my second ever blog post. Looking back at that post, I realised I should have added two mint leaves per pudding instead of one… oops!
This is all you will need + a little bit of caster sugar.
I learnt about these from an old work colleague. When she told me about them and I knew I had to make them. I made them for the first time with Alana all those years ago. We made them at her house, and her genius Mum suggested we roll the cut spearmint leaves in caster sugar so the cut, sticky bits looks the same as the rest of the lolly. GENIUS I tell you. I would never have thought of that way back then.
These never fail to impress, and if you pack them in a little cellophane bag with a nice ribbon, you’ll be sure to put a smile on a few people’s faces.
Chocolate Royal Puddings
1 or 2 packets of Arnottâs Chocolate Royals
White chocolate, melted
1 packet Jaffas
1 packet confectionery mint leaves
1/4 cup caster sugar
1. Cut the mint leaves into quarters and roll in caster sugar so that all sides are coated.
2. Lay out the chocolate royals on a baking dish. Melt the white chocolate and place a good dollop on to of each chocolate royal. Working quickly before the chocolate sets, place a jaffa and 2 mint leaves on top.
3. Put in the fridge to set.
