Purple frosting is the thing of dreams, especially when it oozes a fresh blueberry flavour. Paired with the lemon curd cupcakes, it goes fabulously with a cup of tea.

Today is National Doughnut Day in America. But I’m declaring it Donut Day here in Australia too. Why should the Americans have all the fun? To celebrate, I’ve made some olive oil donuts with Olive Oils from Spain.

Earlier this year, Helados Jauja flicked me an email with a collaboration proposal. It was the height of Summer, it was hot, and ice-cream seemed like a good idea. I picked two ingredients, they picked another two ingredients, and with the 4 main ingredients I made a cake, and they made an ice-cream.

Summer requires easy dishes that don’t require much time in the heat of the kitchen. This tasty salad is one that I should make more often!

Road testing the lastest product from Breville, the Sous Vide. Lots of possibilities!

Who knew REAL lemonade was so easy to make. Add some berries and you have a new flavour instantly!

Pasta doesn’t have to be smothered in tomato sauce to be good; a simple vodka, lemon and cream sauce is just as good.

If you are on a strict diet, look away…. I was luckily enough to be one of the lucky tweeters when the call for people to sample the new desserts from my favourite place in town went out. Along with other passionate foodies, we indulged in the lastest creations from super couple Bernard and Yen

I’m nearly done sorting and recycling all my billions of cooking magazines I’ve been hoarding. Let me just say, it’s the best thing I’ve done for a while. I’m finding all these amazing recipes I forgot about (this one included) and making more space to store other random junk we have accumulated. I just have

I should have dusted the cake with icing sugar to make it look less burnt. So you will have to deal with Instagram photos. Remember what

At the last cooking the books feast, I suggested a Nigella Lawson book, after we decided we didn’t want to do Bourke Street Bakery. Agnes flicked through a few of Nigella’s books that were in Cherrie’s collection, and we decided on her latest book, Kitchen. ALTHOUGH…. as I began to do this post, I noticed

I’ve been wanting to try this recipe for a long time now. With some sad looking lemons in the fruit bowl, today was the day! I didn’t have any candied lemon to decorate the top with, but I don’t think it is that necessary until you are perhaps making these for a present. Very simple

I made these for a random casual dinner party last night. A lovely bunch of people gathered at Iron Chef Jason’s house for a lovely dinner of pasta and Bondi Vet. Whilst I’m sorry that the gluten free and vegan guests couldn’t try these, they were a bit hit with everyone else. It was a

Couldn’t be bothered going to the gym on Thursday, yet I somehow had motivation to bake… Had some passionfruit sitting in the fruit bowl calling out my name (must be going insane if I can hear fruit talking to me). Whipped out the Donna Hay fruit cookbook and found something with passionfruit! ABSOLUTELY delicious! Work

Being bored on a Sunday can make for a very productive time in the kitchen! Going out tonight with my boyfriend, my bestfriend and her boyfriend! We are going out to celebrate the boys’ birthdays, so I decided to make 2 cake options, so I can share with my parents as well. Started off with

I made these on Saturday for some of my favorite people, and they went down a treat! If you are going to make the lemon slice, i suggest making it the day before as the base has time to soften a little and soak up some of that yummy lemon flavour! Lemon Slice By Donna

These were actually done by my best friend and I for Christmas 2006. I got the idea from a work colleague and we thought they would make great little gifts for people. – 1 packet of Arnott’s Chocolate Royals – White melting chocolate (we used Nestle melts) – 1 packet Jaffas – 1 packet confectionery
