It’s been a while since the last TFTBOICS (Tales from the belly of Iron Chef Shellie) post.

Just thought I’d sum up a few things that happened, and are still happening.

Chandon • Picnic Baskets
{Disclaimer: picnic hamper received as a media sample from Undertow Media}
Enjoy a day trip to the Yarra Valley and not lift a finger when it comes to having the perfect picnic. Chandon have launched their beautiful gourmet picnic baskets which you can purchase with a selection of seasonal produce and tasty treats to enjoy whilst overlooking the beautiful vines at the Domaine Chandon vineyard.
The hamper includes (not all pictured here) a delicious pate, Serrano Jamon, kalamata olives and salted caramels. They can be pre-ordered for $150 (for two) by calling Chandon directly.
Chandon’s Green Point Brasserie is also launching their new Summer menu.

Taste of Melbourne • 2013
A bit late, but I of course went to Taste of Melbourne last year. It was a soggy day the day before I went, but I still really enjoyed the outdoor version, compared to the small squishy one they use to do at the Royal Exhibition Building.
I took along my lovely hand model, Katie. We were luckily enough to try the new Rekorderlig cider flavour; apple & guava. It wasn’t as sweet as some of the others. It was refreshing and probably ranks as one of my favourites in the range now. Thanks to Rekorderlig and Exposure PR for that one.
We also tried the goat banh mi and pho from Uncle, and a few other dishes. The insanely long wait for a burger from Huxtaburger didn’t deter Katie, and the treats from Burch & Purchese had me doing my happy dance :)

The Langham Hotel • Vogue High Tea
{Disclaimer: Katie and Iron Chef Shellie dined as guests of The Langham}
This post was meant to go up at Spring Racing Carnival time, but my life turned into a big of carnival itself around that time, until about now where I can catch up.
The Aria Bar & Lounge offer high tea daily, but on special occasions such as school holidays, or spring racing carnival, they have a different high tea on offer. In the case of spring racing, it was a Vogue High Tea. This included a glass of Chandon bubbles on arrival, tea, sandwiches, scones a selection of sweet treats, and a copy of the latest Vogue magazine.
The Langham is one of my favourite places for high tea in Melbourne, and it was a real treat for us to enjoy :)
